The Blood-Brain Barrier Myth

The Blood-Brain Barrier Myth

“Crossing the blood-brain barrier” is a phrase that haunts the world of zeolite supplement makers and has created a great deal of misinformation. In general, the blood-brain barrier is physical mechanism that protects brain tissue by controlling which substances get in and out of the brain. Concerning zeolite supplements, this phrase, has been used mainly as a marketing device for shady zeolite companies to prove that their zeolite health supplement is more effective than their competitor’s product.

“Crossing the Blood-Brain Barrier”

This lame marketing scheme was originally developed by MLM marketers trying to pawn their product off onto naïve affiliates and customers. It was claimed by a certain multi-level marketing company (which is actually now being sued by its affiliates and customers) that its “liquid zeolite” was much more effective than powdered forms of zeolite because it circulated throughout the entire body, including crossing the blood-brain barrier, while powdered forms of zeolite stayed only within the digestive track. They stated that their zeolite product was able to do this because it was in liquid form and was small enough to pass through this barrier. They went on to attack powdered zeolite, saying that it was not as effective in the detoxification process because it was too big to cross the blood-brain barrier, and thus was not capable of a full body detox.

The “Blood-Brain Barrier” Proves to be a FRAUD!

So this is the funny part. For years, brainwashed MLM affiliates and customers who paid about $60 a bottle for this magical zeolite supplement didn’t know that “liquid zeolite” is really nothing more than WATER and a couple grams of ZEOLITE POWDER suspended in it! Looks like the joke was on them and their bank accounts! So if the MLM’s medical marvel of a potion was able to cross the blood-brain barrier and it was nothing more than powdered zeolite in water (NOT liquefied zeolite), then powdered zeolite health supplements had the power to cross the blood-brain barrier all along!

Proof of the Detoxifying Power of Powdered Zeolite

In 2001, a study was conducted on dogs to see the effect that zeolite had on cancer. There were 22 dogs used in the study, and they all had numerous types of cancer, in various areas of the body—including the brain! Micronized powdered zeolite was administrated to these animals, not “liquid” zeolite. The results revealed that the micronized zeolite was effective in shrinking tumors, stifling and slowing the formation of cancer, and increasing the life span of the dogs. If only liquid zeolite formulas could “cross the blood-brain barrier” and circulate beyond the digestive track, then there would have been no improvement in any of the dogs’ conditions. The same micronized zeolite that was used in this dog cancer study is found in the health supplements manufactured by Zeo Health, which only makes powdered based zeolite health supplements.

The Differences between Milling and Micronizing

The Differences between Milling and Micronizing

Since zeolite is fairly new to the supplement industry, there is a lot of misinformation floating around out there. In the end, this misinformation leaves people confused and trusting the wrong companies with their health. One of the biggest topics that there is immense confusion on is milling vs. micronizing. The average zeolite supplement user doesn’t really know the difference. It took me a great deal of time and investigation to figure out what the difference was. And honestly, I didn’t even know that there was a difference until I felt sick from taking a certain zeolite product and needed to start looking into why one type of zeolite supplement is better than another.

Milling

Milled zeolite supplements should never be ingested! When I think of milling, I think of grains, like wheat, being crushed and pulverized between giant stones in an 18th century factory. Translating this image to modern day zeolite milling is not that far off. Zeolite milling is done at the mine itself. It is crushed and pulverized by machines, so that it resembles a gritty, sandy powder. After being micronized at the mine, it is sent to various industries to be used in products, such as cat litter, concrete filler, and ZEOLITE SUPPLEMENTS! Understanding this is key—if a zeolite supplement is milled, this implies that it comes from a commercial mine, since it is done at the mine for industrial purposes.

Furthermore, you should be very wary of milled zeolite because the pulverizing process of milling destroys the structure of the zeolite. No longer does the zeolite have a honeycomb shape, with a strong cage-like structure that surrounds and protects bonds with toxins. Instead, the zeolite honeycomb is destroyed, and is merely a bunch of broken, loose pieces, that can be potentially dangerous on their own. (This is why I felt sick after I took a dose of the milled zeolite powder! Who knows what toxic materials I ingested!) Read the rest of this entry

Did you hear about the Waiora Class Action Settlement?

Did you hear about the Waiora Class Action Settlement?

The unethical behavior of this MLM company is EXACTLY what I’ve been trying to address in my past blog postings. Finally legal action has been taken and the public can finally be aware and more conscious of the deceptive nature behind these MLM zeolite companies, like Waiora.

Here is the gist of what happened… Waiora was selling WATER! Not liquefied zeolite! They told people it absorbed faster and was more effective than other forms of zeolite because it was liquefied. This crooked company knew they were selling water to people with serious health conditions, like cancer and autism, and they knew they were ripping them off by only selling them $60 of water. What a scam! They took advantage of these poor people just to make a buck off of them.

Eventually some of the distributors caught on and had the product tested by a lab. The lab discovered that Waiora’s $60 bottle of Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) was two ounces of water with a pinch of powdered zeolite in it. What a joke! And unfortunately, the joke was on Waiora’s distributors and customers who over paid for this product for years.

So long story short, four of the distributors got together and organized a class action lawsuit against Waiora for not being truthful and misrepresenting what was in NCD, compared to what was printed on the label. The label claimed there were 2,400mg of zeolite in NCD, but lab tests proved that there was only 2.4mg or less in each bottle.

Knowing that the evidence was against them, Waiora chose to settle out of court. The settlement was really pathetic. The lawyers got most of the money, and Waiora is paying out $150 to the 79,652 individuals listed on the lawsuit in the form 3 bottles of NCD. HOW CRUEL! I’m guessing this was done because if Waiora actually had to pay out the $150 in cash, it would have bankrupted the company. So unfortunately, this company lives on to rip more unsuspecting people off.

For more info, please read this website. I just happened upon it today, and it explains a whole lot about what a deceptive and sneaky company Waiora is. www.waiora-settlement.com

Zeolite’s Unfortunate Bad Reputation

Zeolite’s Unfortunate Bad Reputation

Zeolite is an extraordinary mineral that has numerous healing abilities. In short, zeolite takes heavy metals and other dangerous toxins out of the body, with no healing crisis. Although zeolite has been used in industries for decades, it has only been available as a dietary supplement for about the last 15 years. The problem with this supplement is that there are so many companies selling different zeolite products, it’s difficult to know who to trust.

Why does zeolite have such a bad rep?

Many zeolite companies don’t care about your health. For the most part, they are just looking to make as much money off of you, and your situation, as possible. Many are not experienced health professionals and are usually not well-versed on the subject of zeolite. Some less scrupulous companies even use industrial grade zeolite in their products because it’s cheap to buy in bulk. Industrial zeolite is often filled with toxic metals, such as lead and manganese, and should NEVER be ingested!
