What Makes a Good Zeolite Supplement?

What Makes a Good Zeolite Supplement?

There are numerous zeolite supplements on the market, and choosing one may become an overwhelming and confusing task. In order to help simplify your concerns and worries about choosing the best zeolite supplement, I have composed a list of what defines a good zeolite supplement. Make sure that whatever zeolite health supplement you may choose meets the standards outlined in this article.

** Remember, these standards are NOT required of zeolite health supplement companies, so please make them standards for yourself! **

Pure Clinoptilolite

Only one type of zeolite that should be used in any zeolite supplement—clinoptilolite. There are only two types of zeolite that are non-toxic to humans, clinoptilolite and mordenite. Yet, the structure of mordenite is jagged and could be potentially dangerous to the tissues of your digestive system, and so should never be consumed. Some supplement companies have advertised that they use more than one type of zeolite, implying that more zeolites are better for detoxing. But this isn’t true! Clinoptilolite will do the same exact detoxing job as mordenite, and it have a safe rounded structure, which poses no threat to causing any bodily injury. Chabazite is another zeolite that is used in some company’s products- this is very dangerous! It has been shown to heat to the boiling point as soon as it comes in contact with water. Ingesting chabazite could cause internal damage. So the only zeolite that is needed in any zeolite health supplement is clinoptilolite. It’s safe to ingest and gets the detoxing done.

Purity of the Zeolite

Purity and potency are directly related. A high purity level is essential for any zeolite supplement to be effective. Zeolite is a natural mineral, and is mined from deep within the Earth. While in the Earth, the zeolite naturally forms with and absorbs other minerals and metals that are in the ground around it. Thus, the purity of the zeolite has to do with the amount of minerals and metals that are absorbed into the zeolite cage before it is mined. The larger the amount of metals and minerals in the ground, the lower the purity of the zeolite. The zeolite with the lowest purity rates are known to come from North America and Asia, so please make sure that your zeolite doesn’t come from these two continents!

Cleaning the Zeolite

The purity rate of zeolite health supplements also relates to whether or not it was cleaned. Cleaning the zeolite will increase the purity rate (e.g. from 89% to 96%). The cleaning process isn’t a patented process but it does need to be done in a manufacturing plant equipped with special machines that can perform this task. Cleaning zeolite is expensive and not required by any government regulations, so finding a company that is willing to invest this money and time into their products is rare. Remember, the higher the purity, the more potent the zeolite will be.

Micronizing the Zeolite

Again, this is another time consuming and costly process that most zeolite health supplement companies do not want to invest in. Micronizing is when lasers are used to slice the zeolite into smaller pieces. Micronizing zeolite greatly reduces the particle size of the zeolite, while also keeping its structure intact. Most companies that do not want to pay for this expensive process simply grind up the zeolite through a process called milling. Milling zeolite can be potentially dangerous because it destroys the important zeolite structure, and breaks it into smaller pieces that do not detox and can be potentially harmful if ingested.

Furthermore, detoxing with micronized zeolite will give you a deeper detox. There is a significant difference between the particle size of micronized zeolite and non-micronized zeolite. Micronized zeolite is small enough to travel deep into the body’s tissues and between cells, while non-micronized zeolite often cannot make it this far. As for the size of the micronized zeolite particle, it should not be a nanoparticle because then it will be too small to trap the toxins inside its cage.

Where the Product is Manufactured

This is a very important aspect of determining a good supplement. All health supplements should be manufactured and packaged in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certified pharmaceutical facility. These are the manufacturing plants that are in compliance with FDA regulations, and manufacture products to the highest standard. As of 2010, all health supplements sold in the US are required to be manufactured in a GMP Certified facility, so make sure the zeolite product you choose is manufactured in a GMP approved plant.

Amount of Zeolite per Dose

The amount of zeolite per dose can have a big effect on just how much you are detoxing. Liquids (which I don’t really recommend) are powdered zeolite suspended in a liquid solution and are mostly water that contains a minuscule amount of zeolite per dose. On the other hand, a powder or capsule zeolite product can contain anywhere from 1 to almost 6 grams of zeolite per dose. In a number of studies focusing on health and healing benefits of zeolite, it is suggested that at least 3 to 5 grams of zeolite is consumed per day in order for it to have a therapeutic effect.

The Quality of Additional Ingredients

Many zeolite health products will have more than just zeolite in them. Not only is the quality, purity, and potency of the zeolite important, but it is equally important for any additional ingredients. Zeolite is useful for a number of ailments and health benefits. Some companies add additional ingredients to their products in order to gear their zeolite supplements towards a particular malady. Make sure that whatever ingredient is added to the zeolite product has some validity in what it claims to do or help, and that it is a high quality ingredient. Also, make sure that all the ingredients in each product are on the FDA’s Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) list.

Knowledgeable Company Employees

The best way to understand the products you are looking to purchase is by calling the company. You can easily tell by speaking to the company’s employees for less than 2 minutes how much they know and how good the product is. A reliable company that cares about their customers’ health and well-being takes the time to educate their employees, who can then inform the customers about any questions or concerns they may have on zeolite and their products.

Investigate the Company’s Track Record

Does the company have a good reputation? How long have they been in the zeolite industry? Do they have repeat customers? What do their customers have to say about their products? These are all questions that should be looked into before you purchase any products. The zeolite health supplement industry hasn’t been around for that long… Only for about the past 15 years, so you can find out a lot of what people have to say by just doing a simple search on the Internet. Decide which companies you can trust and which you cannot.

My Suggested Zeolite Company

ZEO Health is the original manufacturer of zeolite health supplements. They have an amazing track record, and are known to have the absolute purest and most potent micronized zeolite on the market, with about a 97% purity rate. (Most other popular zeolite companies are in the 60% range!) All their products are manufactured in a GMP certified facility, and all of the ingredients they use are on the FDA’s GRAS list. They only make powder and capsule zeolite health products, and have created dosages that allow consumers to get the minimum 3 to 5 grams of zeolite per dose, as suggest in the medical studies. The employees are always friendly, extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of zeolite supplementation, and are willing to always take the time to answer any questions you might have. How do I know all of this? I called and asked!

Proper Directions for Zeolite Health Supplements

Proper Directions for Zeolite Health Supplements

Taking a zeolite health supplement is very easy. Shady zeolite health companies have worked to make it confusing by creating irrelevant, complicated, false directions to make their product seem more potent than it is. But taking a zeolite health supplement is quite easy. Below I have listed the necessary information for you to follow when taking a zeolite health supplement.

(By the way, I just want to point out that all this information comes directly from ZEO Health, which is the original manufacturer of zeolite health supplements. By doing all the research and testing, they have laid the foundation for the entire zeolite supplement industry and have always been the leading experts on zeolite supplements.)

The Correct Directions for taking any Zeolite Health Supplement

  1. Take at least 4-5 grams of zeolite a day, and up to 15 grams (4-5 grams three times a day). You can essentially take more than this within a day. Toxicology reports show that it won’t harm you if larger amounts are taken. You will just be wasting the zeolite if you consume too much!
  2. Take a zeolite health supplement consistently for at least 90 days. Detoxing takes time. Since you didn’t get the toxins in one day, it will take a significant amount of time to remove them. Ideally detoxing should be done indefinitely, since you are exposed to toxins every single day. Don’t forget that zeolite isn’t toxic so you can take it without worry.
  3. Doses should be taken about 6 to 8 hours apart because that is how long it takes for the zeolite to circulate throughout your body. If you take three doses in a day, take one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening, with at least 6 hours in between. Taking it less than 6 hours in between each dose won’t harm you, don’t worry! The excess (wasted) zeolite will be treated as fiber and removed during the normal excretion process.
  4. Zeolite can be taken with food or without food, before eating or after eating. It doesn’t matter! It is generally believed that taking it before eating can help with nutritional absorption. This is because the toxins disrupt normal cellular functions and block the cells from absorbing nutrients. When zeolite is able to remove the toxins first, the cells can then better absorb the nutrients from the food. With ZEO Health’s product Esdifan, which aims to stop diarrhea, they actually recommend that the product is taken with the foods that usually cause your symptoms.
  5. Zeolite powder does not need to be mixed into a specific amount of water. As long as it’s wet enough for you to swallow it, that’s enough water. If you feel the need to mix it into 32 oz. of water, that’s okay too, whatever works best for you is what you should go with. It can even be mixed into foods or baked into cookies. Wherever you can get it in is fine.
  6. You don’t necessarily need to drink extra water with a zeolite health supplement. Some people feel thirsty after taking it, especially if it was a powder, as opposed to capsules. This is because zeolite is very absorbent and sucks up extra water in the body. It may also give you dry mouth if it is a fine powder because it could stick to your tongue. If you are thirsty and want extra water, then drink it. If you’re not, then don’t. It’s that simple.

I hope this clears up some concerns for many of you out there. If you have any questions, please send me a message. And please remember not to trust companies will ridiculous directions, restrictions, and requirements! It’s an indication that they don’t know what they are doing! Just remember to get enough high quality zeolite with each dose. Taking less won’t harm you— it just won’t be as effective.

The Differences between Milling and Micronizing

The Differences between Milling and Micronizing

Since zeolite is fairly new to the supplement industry, there is a lot of misinformation floating around out there. In the end, this misinformation leaves people confused and trusting the wrong companies with their health. One of the biggest topics that there is immense confusion on is milling vs. micronizing. The average zeolite supplement user doesn’t really know the difference. It took me a great deal of time and investigation to figure out what the difference was. And honestly, I didn’t even know that there was a difference until I felt sick from taking a certain zeolite product and needed to start looking into why one type of zeolite supplement is better than another.

Milling

Milled zeolite supplements should never be ingested! When I think of milling, I think of grains, like wheat, being crushed and pulverized between giant stones in an 18th century factory. Translating this image to modern day zeolite milling is not that far off. Zeolite milling is done at the mine itself. It is crushed and pulverized by machines, so that it resembles a gritty, sandy powder. After being micronized at the mine, it is sent to various industries to be used in products, such as cat litter, concrete filler, and ZEOLITE SUPPLEMENTS! Understanding this is key—if a zeolite supplement is milled, this implies that it comes from a commercial mine, since it is done at the mine for industrial purposes.

Furthermore, you should be very wary of milled zeolite because the pulverizing process of milling destroys the structure of the zeolite. No longer does the zeolite have a honeycomb shape, with a strong cage-like structure that surrounds and protects bonds with toxins. Instead, the zeolite honeycomb is destroyed, and is merely a bunch of broken, loose pieces, that can be potentially dangerous on their own. (This is why I felt sick after I took a dose of the milled zeolite powder! Who knows what toxic materials I ingested!) Read the rest of this entry

Trusted “Liquid” Supplement

Trusted “Liquid” Supplement

An Alternative “Liquid” Zeolite

If you are not big on the powder or capsules, and like the convenience of a liquid, there is one SAFE, RELIABLE, and HONEST company that you should consider—Regal Supplements. Regal designed Zetox, a fruity-flavored zeolite suspension product, in which you can squeeze a dropper full directly into your mouth or into a glass of water. When using one dropper full a day, twice a day, the product should last you a full 30 days. The product also contains Vitamin B-12 and D-3, both of which help greatly with energy levels and fighting depression.

Zetox should be chosen over other liquid zeolite formulas for several reasons:

1. By just reading the label, one can see how honest and upfront this company is about their product. They refer to their product as a “Zeolite Suspension,” meaning that it is zeolite which has been added to liquid and does not dissolve. Other companies refer to their product as “liquid zeolite,” which implies that the zeolite itself is liquid. But zeolite CANNOT be liquefied! Thus, companies presenting their information product as “liquid zeolite” are being deceitful and should NEVER be trusted. (Don’t believe me about other liquid zeolite products? Compare their ingredients, directions, and the amount of zeolite they contain.)

2. The amount of zeolite claimed to be in a bottle of Zetox is actually in the bottle! Other supplement companies, in an attempt make consumers think that the entire bottle is liquefied zeolite, and not water, LIE about how much zeolite is actually in their products!

** Here is a clue to figuring out whether or not you are being ripped off: Zeolite looks muddy in water. If your “liquid zeolite” looks clear, it probably just water! Read the rest of this entry

What Zeolite Supplements Should be Avoided?

Please note: I did not specifically name a company, but based upon the bits of information I listed, you will be able to make your own assessment on who not to trust.

Play on Words

Here is what to STAY AWAY from when purchasing a zeolite dietary supplement…

Liquids-

People love the idea of a liquid product because, compared to pills and powder, it is so easy to take. However, the mineral zeolite, cannot be liquefied! “Liquid zeolite” is mostly water, with trace amounts of zeolite. Don’t fall for this scam and pay $30-$60 for water and 3 cents worth of zeolite!

**Some people prefer the convenience of a liquid zeolite supplement, and that’s okay.**

If you would like a high quality suspension (liquid) zeolite supplement from an honest, caring company, please consider Zetox by Regal Supplements.

Activated Zeolite-

This phrase is thrown around to imply that the product has gone through some special process which makes it more effective. “Activated zeolite” derives from the idea of “activated carbon,” wherein carbon goes through a special process to make it more porous, thus increasing its surface area and making it more absorbent. Zeolite is naturally porous, and cannot be made more porous. The ONLY process that ALL zeolite used as a dietary supplement goes through is a cleaning and washing. Read the rest of this entry

Did you hear about the Waiora Class Action Settlement?

Did you hear about the Waiora Class Action Settlement?

The unethical behavior of this MLM company is EXACTLY what I’ve been trying to address in my past blog postings. Finally legal action has been taken and the public can finally be aware and more conscious of the deceptive nature behind these MLM zeolite companies, like Waiora.

Here is the gist of what happened… Waiora was selling WATER! Not liquefied zeolite! They told people it absorbed faster and was more effective than other forms of zeolite because it was liquefied. This crooked company knew they were selling water to people with serious health conditions, like cancer and autism, and they knew they were ripping them off by only selling them $60 of water. What a scam! They took advantage of these poor people just to make a buck off of them.

Eventually some of the distributors caught on and had the product tested by a lab. The lab discovered that Waiora’s $60 bottle of Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) was two ounces of water with a pinch of powdered zeolite in it. What a joke! And unfortunately, the joke was on Waiora’s distributors and customers who over paid for this product for years.

So long story short, four of the distributors got together and organized a class action lawsuit against Waiora for not being truthful and misrepresenting what was in NCD, compared to what was printed on the label. The label claimed there were 2,400mg of zeolite in NCD, but lab tests proved that there was only 2.4mg or less in each bottle.

Knowing that the evidence was against them, Waiora chose to settle out of court. The settlement was really pathetic. The lawyers got most of the money, and Waiora is paying out $150 to the 79,652 individuals listed on the lawsuit in the form 3 bottles of NCD. HOW CRUEL! I’m guessing this was done because if Waiora actually had to pay out the $150 in cash, it would have bankrupted the company. So unfortunately, this company lives on to rip more unsuspecting people off.

For more info, please read this website. I just happened upon it today, and it explains a whole lot about what a deceptive and sneaky company Waiora is. www.waiora-settlement.com

Trusted Zeolite Products

Trusted Zeolite Products

What zeolite supplements can I trust?

When it comes to your health, there are not many products that can be trusted. Yet, there is one dietary zeolite company in particular that can, in fact, be trusted—ZEO Health. There are a number of reasons why this company is far superior to all others, and should be trusted above all others

1. ZEO Health is the original manufacturer of zeolite health supplements, and has been around for over 15 years. Although original does always mean better, in this case it does. The founder of the company did his homework, and had zeolite mines from all over the world tested for almost 4 years before bringing the product to consumers. Their zeolite is the purist on the market.

2. Also, ZEO Health’s zeolite has been used in medical studies to demonstrate the positive effects zeolite has on humans and animals. While inferior zeolite supplement companies constantly refer to these medical studies to sell consumers on the healing powers of zeolite, it is NOT the same pure zeolite that was used in the studies! Zeolite’s Unfortunate Bad Reputation

Zeolite’s Unfortunate Bad Reputation

Zeolite is an extraordinary mineral that has numerous healing abilities. In short, zeolite takes heavy metals and other dangerous toxins out of the body, with no healing crisis. Although zeolite has been used in industries for decades, it has only been available as a dietary supplement for about the last 15 years. The problem with this supplement is that there are so many companies selling different zeolite products, it’s difficult to know who to trust.

Why does zeolite have such a bad rep?

Many zeolite companies don’t care about your health. For the most part, they are just looking to make as much money off of you, and your situation, as possible. Many are not experienced health professionals and are usually not well-versed on the subject of zeolite. Some less scrupulous companies even use industrial grade zeolite in their products because it’s cheap to buy in bulk. Industrial zeolite is often filled with toxic metals, such as lead and manganese, and should NEVER be ingested!
